MODENA Energy delivers end-to-end solar energy solutions for residential and commercial needs

Jakarta, July 10th 2026 – As energy demand continues to grow, effective energy management is becoming increasingly important for both households and businesses. Addressing this need, MODENA Energy offers solar energy solutions that enable customers to manage their energy consumption more intelligently across residential and commercial applications.

Indonesia also holds tremendous potential for solar energy adoption. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), solar power is among the country's most promising renewable energy sources, supported by Indonesia's location along the equator, which provides relatively consistent sunlight throughout the year. Globally, solar energy is also the fastest-growing renewable energy technology due to its relatively quick installation process, flexibility, and ability to be deployed across a wide range of property types.1

"Today, energy management is no longer just about reducing electricity bills. Equally important is ensuring that homes and businesses have a more resilient energy system—one that improves operational cost efficiency while supporting long-term sustainability. Through MODENA Energy, we help homeowners and businesses achieve this with solar energy solutions tailored to their specific needs," said Agiya Fersya, Head of MODENA Energy.

MODENA Energy provides comprehensive end-to-end solar solutions, covering consultation and site assessment, system design, installation, as well as operations and maintenance services to ensure optimal system performance throughout its lifecycle. Below are several reasons why transitioning to solar energy is becoming an increasingly relevant consideration for both residential and commercial customers.

Taking Greater Control of Energy

As the use of electronic devices and electrification continues to expand across various sectors, electricity demand is steadily increasing, making effective energy management more important than ever. Relying entirely on a single source of electricity supply can present challenges, particularly as energy demand grows or supply disruptions occur.

For commercial and industrial users, energy management also has a direct impact on operational efficiency. By incorporating solar energy as an additional power source, businesses can reduce their dependence on conventional electricity while gaining greater control over long-term energy costs.

Through its solar energy solutions, MODENA Energy helps customers develop energy systems tailored to the characteristics of their properties and operational requirements. This approach goes beyond cost efficiency by strengthening long-term energy resilience, enabling homes and businesses to benefit from a more reliable, sustainable, and well-managed energy supply.

Flexible Solutions for Diverse Energy Needs

One of the key advantages of solar energy is its flexibility across different property types and energy requirements. MODENA Energy offers a range of solar PV system configurations tailored to each customer's unique property characteristics and energy consumption patterns through comprehensive consultation and assessment services. These include:

  • On-grid: a system connected directly to the public electricity grid without battery storage. Solar energy generated during daylight hours is consumed immediately, making it ideal for buildings with high daytime electricity demand, such as offices, factories, retail spaces, hotels, and other commercial facilities.
  • Off-grid: a standalone system that operates independently of the public electricity grid. Electricity generated by the solar panels is stored in a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), allowing it to be used at night or during periods without sunlight. This solution is well suited for remote locations without grid access or customers seeking greater energy independence.
  • Hybrid: a combination of grid-connected solar and battery storage. Solar energy is prioritized to meet the building's electricity demand, while surplus power is stored in the battery. When battery capacity is insufficient, the system automatically switches to grid electricity. This configuration offers greater flexibility and enhanced power reliability, making it ideal for homes, healthcare facilities, and businesses that require uninterrupted electricity supply without compromising energy efficiency.

Smarter Energy Management

Adopting solar energy can deliver long-term operational cost savings. The level of savings achieved will vary depending on several factors, including electricity consumption patterns, the installed solar PV system capacity, system configuration, and prevailing electricity tariffs. In general, however, solar energy offers significant cost efficiency by allowing a portion of electricity demand to be met through self-generated renewable power.

As a general benchmark, commercial and industrial customers with high daytime electricity consumption can typically reduce their electricity bills by approximately 30% to 70%. For residential users, potential savings generally range between 30% and 50%, depending on electricity usage patterns, system capacity, and the specific characteristics of each property," explained Agiya.

MODENA Energy supports smarter digital energy monitoring

MODENA Energy's solutions are further enhanced by a cloud- and IoT-based digital monitoring platform that enables customers to track system performance in real time, including energy generation, electricity consumption, and estimated carbon savings through a mobile application or web dashboard. The platform also features intelligent notifications that help detect potential performance issues early, enabling more proactive and efficient energy management.
